This non-reimbursable project addressed several capital improvements needs for a landmark historic building overlooking downtown Ellwood City.
Additions expanded the District Administrative Offices, Guidance and Principal offices. A new addition enlarged the weight room and locker room, athletic storage, and large group instruction area.
Alterations were made to the entrance corridors and cafeteria. The roof and HVAC systems were replaced, and cafeteria air conditioning added. The gymnasium renovations included new flooring , bleachers, operable wall and athletic equipment. Worn exterior windows and doors to the stately auditorium now have period replacements. Exterior steps were completely replaced, and new office furnishings and kitchen equipment purchased.
We have also completed several smaller capital improvement projects. These projects include:
• District-wide and individual facility studies for all schools
• New fire alarm system at Perry Elementary
• Data wiring installations for all schools
•
Demolition of the Ewing Park Elementary building
• Partial re-roofing of the high school
• Business Office renovations
• Stage Lighting Dimming System replacement ( completed 2008 for $270,000)
• Masonry repairs at Hartman Elementary School
• Chiller system improvements at Hartman Elementary School
