The scope of work included site, façade and UFAS improvements for 14 buildings: siding, roofing, fascia, gutters, brick repair, yard drainage, screen doors, sidewalks and landscaping.

New parking areas provide improved access. Units have individual identities with new front porch roofs, screened entrances, covered rear stoops, private yards, and storage sheds.

Eight apartments were renovated; four meet UFAS standards for the physically disabled. The other studio apartments use an exterior covered staircase.

The Donald C. Atwell Center Improvements included:
