The L-shaped classroom wings of the existing 1954 building were renovated, and a large, F-shaped addition was designed. Rounded roof lines and curved canopies help unify the two sections, while two courtyards, exposed ceilings and truss systems, and combined use of glass, metal and clerestories brighten the interior, creating visual interest. The entryway is a focal point and contains a large lobby lit by a skylight.

Renovations include: upgrades to finishes; enlarged classrooms; and new heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems. The addition contains: 18 classrooms; centrally-located library; science lab; 2 computer labs; resource areas; expanded school office and sick bay; 250-seat gymnasium; kitchen/cafeteria; and a large group instruction area with performance platform. The site was modified to improve traffic circulation and parking, and enhance stormwater management. The building serves 475 students.
